The Armenian Government, for the first time within the last 10 years, has submitted a reduced budget for 2010, calling it ‘anti-crisis’ and ‘economizing.’
The $2.2 billion State Budget 2010 is $220 mln less than the current budget.
The budget of the upcoming year was created taking into consideration the economic decline of this year, which at the end of August 2009 was 18.4 percent (0.1 percent less than in July) compared to the same period last year. This provided the Government a basis to announce that Armenia reached the lowest point of the economic decline.
